This exhibit, "Watercolor Reflections", is a group of all new work, never exhibited before, and writings by Judy Barnewolt Jones. A long time resident of Washington Island, Judy’s paintings have been in Art exhibits in Florida, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Her work is part of many private and corporate collections in the United States. She has been the recipient of many awards through the years. Judy has taught watercolor in many workshop venues, her favorite being The Clearing in Ellison Bay where she has taught for many years.
Watercolors by Judy Barnewolt Jones are thoughtful luminous paintings, intended to be symbolic of the more profound elements in life. A sense of light and movement in her paintings are important elements that lend life and meaning to her work. Judy's writings that accompany her paintings serve to guide the viewer beyond the obvious visual content into a deeper understanding of it. Together, they are meant to be an insightful journey through life experiences and feelings familiar to us all.
